Robust Optimization and Kriging Metamodeling of Deep-Drawing Process to Obtain a Regulation Curve of Blank Holder Force

In recent decades, the automotive industry has had a constant evolution with consequent enhancement of products quality. industrial applications, quality may be defined as conformance to product specifications and repeatability manufacturing process. Moreover, in modern era Industry 4.0, research on technological innovation made real-time control process possible. Moving from above context, method is proposed perform deep-drawing process, using stamping upper front cross member car chassis case study. particular, it calibrate force acting blank holder, defining regulation curve that considers material yield stress friction coefficient main noise variables Firstly, was modeled by commercial Finite Element (FE) software AutoForm. By means AutoForm Sigma tool, stability capability were analyzed. Numerical results then exploited create metamodels, kriging technique, which shows relationships between parameters appropriate indices.
